Raw score 10, not raw is 9.
Want to put SAJC first, but would like to know if it is a good environment for studying
and is NYJC really supercheenah? That's what a lot of people have said, but I kind of like the school... And is it true their GP hasn't been good for a while?
I only get word-of-mouth info, so I need reassurances pleeeease.

Both are equally good. You really needn't worry so much. Whichever you get into, focus on yourself.
Hi,
It's always best to ask the academic counsellors stationed at the institutions of your interest. Much info that you need will be gleaned from them :) Go forth boldly and ask to clarify whatever comments (good/undesirable) you have heard, before the deadline for registration is up. Thanks!
Cheers,
Wen Shih
I think TS wants confirmations on the hearsays.
You could say nyjc is super chenah because it is. This is mainly because China scholars who cmi to the top jcs, go to nyjc. Another thing i realise about the jc is that it is better in arts than in sciences compared to other schools- equal cut off for sci and arts.
There are more achievements related to public speaking and, literally, art (designs, drawings) than sciences.
SAJC gives you an all rounded holistic education much like ACJC. If you like ACJC's culture(which is more distinct and easily observarable) then you will like SAJC's too(less distinct but same kinda culture). Some CCAS even have study programmes(study before cca) to ensure that yo dont lose out in acadamic.
in general i think you should just follow your heart. there must be a jc in which u prefer better, go for it. i can't tell you much about nyjc, neither can i tell you that they are indeed more cheena, u gotta get some first hand news about it for reliability then. as for sajc, i'd say it's not too bad a jc. very nice campus and facilities, quite good range of cca. bad point, the teachers aren't exactly helpful and can get really rude at times, in particular gp teachers. the principal cares kinda wayyyyyyyyy too much about academic, other activities are deemed as a waste of time. if all these don't matter to you, sa's not too bad. all the best fella :D
