My L1R4 is 17. Im interested in courses like digital entertainment technology, digital media design (games) or (animation), digital visual effects and game designs and developments. So basically any course that involves designing games, special effects or animations.
But the thing is,i am color blind. Red green color blind. That does not mean i really cannot see red or green color though, its only when i take those test which they ask u to look for numbers on a card full of red, green and yellows spots that one..
Now im not sure what to do..should i just choose the courses that is applicable for color appreciation deficiency ppl like engineering or IT? But i dont really them.
Go with your interest and you will do well.
just let them noe u r colour blind can liao
I beleive that if you get enrolled into a poly you will have to go for a medical check up. So you could tell them about your disability during the check up.

really? It makes no difference even if i tell them my disability, they will sure test me and i wont be able to pass the color test ):
But uh.. Design course wont' accept people who are colour blind.
I'm not sure..
Hi,
It's always best to ask the academic counsellors at the institutions of your interest. Much info that you need will be gleaned from them :) Go forth boldly and ask, before the deadline for registration is up. Thanks!
Cheers,

You can go animations even if you have that slight colour blindness, like i do. ( traffic light red green, obvious red green can see, those medical test abit difficult) Im in Singapore Polytechnic undergoing Diploma in Digital Media (3D Animation Option) and i can tell you that so far, there is no need for distint color differentiation.( I'm a Second Year student, going Internship next semester.) You can even do modelling, rigging and even texturing and ligthing. The only option that i THINK would hinder you would be those in Visual Effects. You will need to do Compositing ( put in different color passes, backgrounds etc) Again, if you take animation options, or anything else other than Compositing, youre fine and good to go. Glad that you have an interest, and if you DO come to SP, i can vouch that all the lecturers here know their stuff, really, really good.

ook..did u took any test or anything when got into that poly? Or they dont mind if u have slight color blindness at all?
Officially, there is no requirement to have a perfect eyesight for this course i chose, so no, i did not have to take any other tests other then the compulsory medical test you did before enrollment.
