O level routes and alternatives..

im currently sec 4 and took my CL O level last year.
yesterday results was out and i got a B3
out of 42 im one of the 6 who cant make it to get A1&2.
and my school is asking me to retake chinese which includes oral and lc and it's a must.
and my oral is a distinction now.
if i get merit for the next time round and a b3 again...
i wonder if i should really retake and get my A.

they will take the better of the two grades... u go confirm with ur school..anyway, just pay abt $22 ++ to take again only what... my time oso same...

fuck your school and tell them you wont retake. Tell them if they dare, expel you lar. At most you join another school.

make ur stand, DONT RETAKE.
B3 is serious good enough.
with B3 for mother tongue, u can have more time to prepare for other subjects.
tell that to ur principal, bring ur parents along. insist on NOT retaking.
u really got to look at the big picture, u have B3 for MT + more time for other subject.

eh...i think he should retake since his oral is distinction. its easier to get a1/a2. i don't think he will need to retake his oral.
but b3 is good enough for me liao...

he already say if he retake MT, must retake oral and lc again -
wahh.. . For malays who are retaking, we just nd to retake p1&p2. Oral will be used by the previous one. So if get distinction for oral, quite easy to score higher in second try :)l. But for those who got merit, advice to retake is very low as the merit oral may pull down to the same grade :(

i think appeal to go through with HMT better... then work hard and score A for HMT instead

write to stomp and ask whether its a must or not. Its definitely not compulsory to retake under MOE guidelines but for school, i am not too sure.

Retaking CL doesn't include retaking of CL Oral. They will use your first Oral results.
I have friends who have been through that stage before. Unless MOE/SEAB rules change that fast, the above should still be true now.
