I am using my brain, I'm just curious about what people did in the past. In no point in the entire did I say I want to blatantly copy from the fellow forumers, you claimed I want to copy ideas. In fact, I think you owe me an apology.
When I wrote:
Come on, If we all brain storm together, We'll technically be better than the rest.

It was meant as a joke, who in their right mind would jeopardise their O levels by telling their idea to the whole world?

u told me that the material needed for the design in the website wasnt enough.
meaning u tried to copy them without thinking of making it so that the material would be enough and designing it that it would be urs.
and why did you ask for pictures? to ask for reference? i don't tink so. and if you don't know. past people's folio are kept and to be destroyed 3 years after their date of submission so as to prevent people from copying past ideas.
didn't know bout that? i suggest you read the document that was given.

I dun understand why some people easily flare up because of such trivial matters..Anyway, this was mine circa 1999
If i can recall, the theme was Mechanism..and it's like an ancient motion sensor...i have a laser pointer at the base of my artefact..to set the motion sensor, the laser has to be rigged for 10 seconds to confirm the distance...when something blocks the laser, the distance is reduced and this change triggers a metal ball up and to the slide..lighting up the red "portal"..something like a rube goldberg machine ..when the obstruction is removed, the ball falls again and lights up the "green" portal...
took me 5 months to complete the artefact alone..and a month to complete the folio..suffice to say, it earned me A1 for D&T and a top ten placing in TKK Young Inventor's Award (students)...

Hey,i im also a Dnt student takin the O lvls.I jus wanna ask about ur comments if i were to design a product that separates books accordin to the different subjects.This way,our books would be organised and when it is time fer revision,it would be easier fer us to find our books.it also saves time when we are packin our bags....i would elaborate more when i research more on it....

I took DnT too.
and i suppose i can have a say here too?Because, i do believe that yes, if the design is innovative, it will sell..
but don't forget,
we do not know what the moderator wants.
He just wants to see the 'designer' aspect of us in our folio,
and our very creative and innovative idea.
Whether does it sell, i think it does not really matter.
Because in O lvls, all it does matter, is that, your work is authentically yours, and that too, the moderator finds favour in your work.
And i do not certainly take it that you are a high achiever, as,
if you are, at 8pm, you wouldn't be here commenting about others?
you would be trying to rush out your dnt works as you said in page 2, that your teacher is quite demanding of your work.
Also, i believe that it is the CA period. Don't you have to rush through revisions upon revisions? (: -

Seriously guys, wad u doing now, is more of engineering and the technical part of it. Design? Even me at this level haven touched the tip of it. Design doesnt mean tht it just can sell, its a whole new level. So much to include in a simple product.
