hi blacktoast94... as I was a ngee ann poly diploma holder in 1998
well you really have to decide
bcos social enterprise diploma means your job is with UNESCO , NGO working oversea
pay is very little compared to business sector
Charity isnt a good job .. but i think Ngee Ann Poly will have a good diverse subject to ensure u still can work in business sector ..ask yourself
do you have the grades?
if not ,take the traditional route
join SP business school. much much better.

go what school the same
depends on oneself
a diploma is a diploma.
i am currently in NP, so this is what i know
1)COP 13, is really up to u, u can go to a biz course(this course u mention is not biz FFS)
2)no frens from it.
3)well i have a uncle lecturing in SP, saying those newer course or those XXX and YYY course is not very good, it is a mix of this and that, in this case, biz and social(aka Humanities). so neither here nor there.
first thing, what inspire you to this course, surely there is something. if that is what your heart tells you and what you want to do possibly for at least 10 years of your life, then go for it.
4)IMHO, all courses are at least okay, in 3) yes it is neither here nor there, but you can specialise in either path when doing a bachelor or when out there in a job.
Last of all, do come down to our open house from the 8-10 of Jan, find out more via the students, tutors, lecturers and prospectors.
hope to see u in the near future!!!
scali you cannot even hit the 13 pts needed.
a diploma is standard, 1.8k/mnth
not say u go lesser COP course means you get 5k/mnth
I heard this Biz course is the basic business modules + some modules on social issues in Singapore.
You need to do projects on CIP stuffs and how to probably make the society better. I got friends who went over to some other 3rd world countries to do community work. Yes, she is year 1 only.
"scali you cannot even hit the 13 pts needed."
i just wanted to find out more and anyway i'm only sec 3 and will work hard to get into the course i want.
this is not a Business course, it is not under the Business School!!! FFS!!!

the course more focused on language, literature and creativity. for scriptwriting, journalism, basic modules like filming and all that.

paiseh, i write the course title wrongly
as long as u do very well, u'll be able to enter uni no matter wat poly course u're from. so just do well in ur poly life, and ur future shld b ok.
"the course more focused on language, literature and creativity. for scriptwriting, journalism, basic modules like filming and all that."

NP this year will have Optometry, SP's monopoly in that is broken.

SP
its CASS, School of Communication, Arts and Social Sciences, under School of Business
social enterprise is a good major. as we move towards the next decade, social enterprise will have more importance . many organisations including government bodies, NGOs, non profit organisation will setu p their regional hq in singapore. with this diploma you can easily find job. COP is abit high at 13 but then again worth it since its a supply and demand matter. lower COP means less students and less graduates equals higher pay and better career prospects.

i ish not SP, i in NP, so the schools and courses arrange differently.
