  Hey guys, I failed my N's despite retaining once @ Secondary 3 and I don't know what to do next. 2008 is ending, I'm starting to get affected by this. Parents keep stressing to me on how important Education is in Sg. Problem is, I do not want to go ITE or repeat another year. Is there like other ways or anything that I can do? Suggestions please! Your help will be appreciated. Thanks a lot, luv. :)

  whats wrong with going ITE?

  many pple from ITE will go poly den either get a not bad job or go uni.

  i see nothing wrong with that as long as you know what you want.

  dude, i am no better than you. in fact, worse.
  in the upcoming O level results, i know im sure to fail.
  i retained before at sec2,
  N level score 7 for best3.
  now O level, ki siao liao -.-
  
  i also donno what to do for my future.
  
  same, my parents too, keep stressing that education is a must in sg.
  
  but im totally clueless on what i should do after O.

  1) I know this is harsh, but I still have to say this (again) as I have said to many before. Why have you not taken any actions to remedy your current situation earlier?????????

   

  2) I still don't understand your current situation well. Have you just completed Ns and failed (in 2008) or? Does the school allow you to retake it one more time?

  This is Singapore... It's hard...
  The only thing you could try.... is to perhaps appeal to the school to let you proceed to sec 4, then work extremely hard to take O levels, and make damn sure you score. I don't think passing N levels is a requirement to take O levels. Worst case scenario, you could drop school, then work extremely hard to take O levels as a private candidate.

   

   

  Question before you proceed to make any decision is, are you willing to work hard to achieve any results of your dream? There have to be lots of sacrifice of time on your part.

  Unless you're that good to enter poly, normal N-Level grades can only get the student into ITE. You pretty much have no choice.

  And please don't make it sound as though you're so good that ITE wants you in no matter what. You don't want? As if they want you.

  You do not go to ITE or repeat for the N, just because there are there.

  Ask yourself what you want to do, or be, or is interested in.

  Then decide whether it is available in ITE, or better to retake your N level, or whatever.

  Repeat your 'N' Level. Clear cut. If not ITE liao. Another choice would be to go out to work. You are Secondary 3 student. Macdonald's $3 pay per hour for the rest of your life. =X

  hey ts, my advise is to fuck it....... just go in ns first..... den come out work in sales or hair dresser(those that dun need cert), dun work in those tech area(sure cannot find job).... after working a while "buy" a diploma cert, nowadays private diploma is all over the place, got money sure pass one(now degree also can buy liao)..... wat nitec to diploma , diploma to degree is crap...... you know why, is because you will be fucking old by the time you complete your studies,and you will not be able to earn b the money you spend and time loss.

  If you really think that you cannot study, then you should look for a job that you really like to do for the rest of your life. Of course the job will not require a qualification.

  For example, the job of a cook.

  If you are really interested and work hard, you can be an excellent cook and earn a good income which can be higher than that of an average polytechnic graduate.
