Hi I am in the sec 3 class next year. For the other subjects, I have a plan on how to learn the syllubus, such as mindmaps for chemistry. This year for the sec 2 EOY examinations, I got 72 as the english mark. I believe that next year it will be difficult to reciece even a b3 grade. So how do I improve on the different aspects english?
Grammer, vocabulary, writing etc.
read books, novels and newspaper.
watch CNA news...
On starhub cable what channel number is CNA?
read books, newspaper
donno the word check the meaning and learn it
now still got time 2 years
im glad u ask now rather than in ur sec 4 year where its rather late.
For CNA, just learn the english and the grammar.
Content-wise, you might be better off getting it from other places.
For english, it's just read, listen and write more. Or perhaps, in O levels, do a lot of the TYS, and fully understand and internalise it. It's a lot about techniques of answering questions... For me, my language is poor. I scored C5 for my GP, but during army, I only took 3 lessons under a private GP tutor (my gf's godma) and learned a few simple techniques of answering the comprehension... Then shot to A2 at A levels... Really wondered how stupid I was during JC.
Can't help you much for English... But if you have any questions regarding maths or sciences, do post here at homework forum. Everyone will help :D
Do visit ExamWorld as well for O level questions :D

it stands for general paper, taken at AO level, which means you take during A levels.
But the format of examination is about the same.
Hi,
Work on compre skills, since it is an important component in addition to essay writing.
Cheers,

reading helps a lot... your vocabulary will increase even if you don't consciously know the word, you will know how to use it in the right occasion. that's how it works for me anyway...
Reading helps.
