I am an American international school student , next year I'm going to
take AP exams 2009 (Physics, Math, and English), and I also want to try
out the GCE A level, 2009. I am confused by the AS and A2 exams, if I
want to get the A level qualification, do I need to take both exams?
Also,
there are two examination bodies provided by CIE and Edexcel, are the
format of the exam the same? And which exam body is easily accepted
when the result is used to apply for a university?
Please
forgive if I'm asking stupid question, I really have no knowladge about
the GCE exam, feel free to educate me if you wish.
yes, you have to take both AS and A2 exams.
im not sure about cie, but for edexcel,
there are a total of 6 papers for each subject.
3 AS 3 A2.
and i think both are equally recognised, u wont have problems getting to a uni provided ur grades do make it.
Hi ChoCoChips,
Thank you very much for your reply.
You said that "for edexcel, there are a total of 6 papers for each subject. 3 AS 3 A2. "
Do you mean that when I register for one GCE A level exam (edexcel) say mathematics, I automatically need to sit for 6 papers - 3AS 3A2? So I don't have to enroll 3 AS and 3 A2 separately in order to get one A level qualification?
Hi,
maybe you can find the information you want at the Singapore's official website
EdExcel official website
Cambridge International Examinations official website
