Hi all, i was wondering if anyone here who got exempted could share their experience...
especially guys, is it tough getting back to studying after NS?
thanks in advance.
my first semester, I got 5.0.... so I think it's not tough at all to get back into studying
my first semester, i didn't get 5.0..... so i think it's tough to get back into studying.
are you guys from engineering?
did the lecturers help you guys in any way to get back on track? like providing remedial classes?

hihi i am from bioengineering NTU ..so from the previous 2 posts u can see "is it tough getting back on track" varies with pple .
and they are not just 'lecturers' animore.. they are PROFs... not the usual teacher u see that will spoon feed u ... remedial classes are for kids.... u have to be self-disciplined to study . If u have any queries on the module , u can always email them or find them in their office.
As for 1st year exemption, the course u have studied in poly must be related to what u are studying in Uni. For example, if u took Material engineering in poly , its impossible to get a 1st year exemption if u r taking bioengineering in Uni. However, there may be modules which u can be exempted from if u have taken it in poly b4. This is wad i know from my course mates who came from poly.
first year is to score one. Nonsense to say cannot catch up due to NS. Because intelligence is born, not made. Can means can. Cannot means cannot. Just joking.

exactly
First year is for scoring. Many pple play in the first year, so snatch the marks.
They will have a harder time to score in the 3rd and 4th year, and that was where I slacked off (and didn't score as well) :D
But because I scored well in the first 2 years, my first-class was quite assured ;)
Btw, TS, I'm from Electrical engineering
