2 mark let go, dont understand the bloody question.
i tink this paper overall can make it
you taking the same syllabus as me hor? why ours like same with them? or this is our paper?
EternalHavoc, you created an account just to ask this question?
I don't think there'll be variants to the answer, by the way. After all, it was a simple exercise to draw and measure.

That puts many people at the wrong then.
Damn, wrong again. Yeah for the electric heater I said the water that comes out of the hot water tank will not be as hot as the water may lose heat while rising to the top. No time to write lose heat by what process. I hope they accept this :(
Yes practical (the Chem part; Physics was easy) was damn shit. I even got my observations wrong. My iodine didn't turn blue-black... Prepared to get 0 for Chem prac :P
Must get full marks for Paper 1!!!
I think the heating curve was 2marks + so if have the right plotting should get 1 mark n the next mark should be the curve shape.
If 3 marks then maybe is considering the 3 parts of the curve (the initial rise, constant at 1oC, rise to 4oC)
No lar Vendettus! Just wanted to join the fun asking question!:P
Also, for the how sound transmitted thingy... I wrote being transmitted by a series of compression and rarefraction, and it traval in the direction parallel to the direction of vibraion. Don't know if they accept this answer :P
'Sound
is transmitted through water as a series of pressure waves.'
i.e. rarefaction (slightly lower p), compression (slightly higher p)
at least this is what I wrote. (Don't know enough a not :/)
focal length i write 5cm. KNN
i wrote 5cm too... wrong meh?? i thought they got write the scale at the bottom which is 1cm 1 box?? my ppr is 5152...
its 1.8 +/- 0.1, I think they give the benefit of a doubt
5cm is wrong! (initially i wrote 5cm then realise my mistake.)
for the melting curve, marks allocated is [2]
i drew a line from -2(dc) to 1(dc), straight line for a few grid then a curve to 4(dc)
The electricity part:
I wrote, it will require more energy to heat up all the water, causing wastage of electricity than compared fig12.1.
For the focal length, my teacher said that you have to label that part and write the distance there and they will mark according.
for this paper is quite easy, they might not accept candidate who just referred to the graph to get the distance of focal, you may need to draw dotted line to show that, that is the focal with your distance. If you do, even ur dis is 1.6, will they accept it, according to Fig 6.1 labelled in qn.
For the negative plate, i state that gain neg char up the wire, attracted by positive, then when attracted. aft tt its all crap. hope i get at least 1 mark. cos i mixed up by writing when the particles reaches pos plate, it GAINS electron, then charges changed positive towards the negative plate.
my answers are exactly the same as the first writer, except for 110g.
focal point i saw is 1.9cm
the tv satellite thingy i wrote microwave
and the curve x= i drew straight lines T.T..
dang.. anyone did section B Q11?
sian.. the current queestion i kay kiang.. volatage go divdide by 2.. than i got all wrong =(
6 MARKS LEH!! no more A1 A2 already

we take old syllabus like no diff leh.
i DID QUESTION 11.
I think the pressure question was quite easy?
