Eagerly waiting reports from Pillow and crucifixed as well as other fellow forumers "D
Everyone must be working hard on the paper right now ;D
just woke up
i overslept!!!
Screw it, I didn't know at least half of the topics presented in the paper - I think I'm fried this time.
p.s. eagle, that topic about triangles did come up - your post was such a lifesaver back there. You also mentioned to me that prime factorisation will very likely come up - and it did come up - only it was cubes, and not squares, in that case. I hope I got it right...

You are dead meat.
Luckily I told my mom to use every method possible to get me up by 6 AM - and I did.
finally a paper with a decent standard, unlike all the other papers so far...
For the braking distance question, are you guys' answers 1500% ?
woo maths 4017 represent. i think it was doable.
are you sure its 1500%?

That one really screwed things around for me - I could not figure out where to put the variables in the formula y = K(x), and I badly messed everything up from there.
p.s. Regarding the triangle question mentioned earlier, for the first part, you had to prove that angle ABC is a right angle. I used Pythogaras' Theorem to prove it was a right-angle, by adding the squares of the adjacient and opposite sides and them comparing the square root of the result to the hypotenuse, which was equal. Second part was the sneaky triangle question eagle mentioned - since the triangle overall was a right-angled triangle, their heights were the same, only the bases differing. I screwed up the rest of the question, sadly.
And as for the prime factorisation question, first part wanted you to find the prime factors, which I found using the number triangle method. Second part was to find the smallest value of K, if 1800K is a perfect cube. 1800 = 2^3 X 3^2 X 5^2 (if I remember correctly), and to turn it into a perfect cube, I added another 3 and 5 to the factors, turning it into 2^3 X 3^3 X 5^3, which resulted in the perfect cube 27000. Dividing 27000 with 1800 yields 15, which is also 3 X 5, so I wrote 15 as the answer. The third part was about highest common factor of 42; I did a number triangle with 42, came out 2 X 3 X 7. I then wrote the answer as 6, which is 2 X 3 (both of which are in the prime factorisations in 42 and 1800; not sure if I was right.

I hope my student managed to do it as well. Covered all these again yesterday

hmm, I'm not 100% sure, but this is my attempt...
6 = kp²
p increased by 300%, i.e. 4p
k(4p)² = 16kp²
= 16*6
= 96

wah, heng I covered this a lot with my student yesterday as well
hope she dun careless

need confirmation if this is correct

Alamak! I thought 300% was 3 times!
Dang, I can see F9 all over my Mathematics paper now...
i tink i screw up the triangle qn, i find the big triangle nia
and i didnt overslept, just a joke
oh shit the braking one i gtr it wrong as well

Hope all of my students did it right too. Seem that this paper was totally brainless like the AM paper 1.

bloody hell. i got 3p instead of 4p cos i go and times 3.
How about the traffic light one? my answer is 0909, anybody same?
1500% should be correct, alot of ppl got tricked by this Q!
by 300% means +300%
0909 is correct.
omg i misread the prime factorisation question
did it in square instead of cube

a lot about careless mistakes...
at least I know my student didn't manage to do a 4 mark question fully :(
The one on drawing the equidistant point between 3 points

That happened to me too, sadly.
Seriously, 2 hours is a joke for a mathematics paper - I reckon some people need at least 2 and a half hours on this.
wah lao eh
so hard
the 300% , i just leave one big blank at there
thought of drawing one middle finger to them
actually I think more people will make careless mistakes for this paper than AM P1 cos more questions = more chances of misreading.
+ what is the distance of D from the mast? A lot of my friends have varying answers o.o

that is if u have enuff time
nah beh, the draw perpendicular bisector.. i draw so many lan jiao arc.. than cannot intersect.. i tulan draw one fuck u cannot intersect... and the direct proportion i duno how to do -.-'' and draw graph.. wa piang 20 marks bye bye lo... how get A1
