Hi all, i have this question would need your help to solve it .
thanks in advance !
I shall assume u mean circle A is left and circle B is on the right, although it doesn't really matter
2:7 => area of shaded to unshaded in Circle A is 2:5
3:7 => area of shaded to unshaded in Circle B is 3:4
2:5 => 6:15
3:4 => 6: 8
Hence, total unshaded proportion is 15+8 = 23
Answer is 6:23
the other question which i still puzzled how to solve it .thanks !
Area A is 2*2 - 1*1 = 3 cm²
Area B is 4 * 4 - 3*3 = 7 cm²
Hence, ratio of Area A to Area B is 3:7

the area of shaded A is te 2nd smallest square minus smallest square
shaded B is largest square minus 2nd largest square.
