Another one experienced it before?
Happened to me and kind of mind blocked for the first hour of my exam with only the next hour to effectively do my paper
drink more water, breathe in more fresh air before entering the exam hall, sleep early before the day of exam. Lastly, its just an exam where probably millions of pple all over the world have taken before. No big deal.

last time poly time, i dun read my notes at least 1hr b4 exams... mind sure mix up formulas and points.
mediate, deep breath. mind refresh
"heart quiet naturally cool" chinese phrase loosely translated
Try keeping yourself calm by
practising deep breathing. I know it sounds lame or stupid, but it helps a lot.
Some myths say that by tilting your head 45 degrees up, you can somehow think
better in the exams. Not too sure whether issit true or not, but it worth a try.
Try NOT to have a heavy meal before your exams, because more blood will be
directed to the stomach (for digestion) and hence less blood will go to your
brain.
Don't skip meals... because when you go too hungry, your brain can't
function properly, and you might have difficulties recalling what you've studied
these few days.
Yar, Mint can help to improve your concentration. maybe you can
try to ask around see if any of your friends have mints sweet to spare.
Your friend's nervous
could add up to your own nervous, making you Even more nervous. So during break,
you might like to find a quiet corner in sch to revise.
take essence of chicken :D
Actually I believe mental block is just an excuse (perhaps subconsciously by the body)... I haven't heard of anyone who is damn well prepared (can get near full marks) who get mental block. Perhaps confidence level do play a part...
The best solution is thus..... to do even more preparation than what you are currently doing before exams...
Ganbatte!
Oh you have the exam anxiety ah.. no worry... small problem.
All you need to do will be these.
When you feel breathless follow the 2 steps below repeat about 3~5 sets you will feel much better.
Me from sec to my Uni also got this anxiety problem.
Step1 Breath Deep in heart count 1.2.3.4.5 then
Step2 Breath out also count 1.2.3.4.5
Repeat the again..
Note. <Do not count too fast just normal or a bit slower even better. >
This will make help you catch your breath and also help to regular your breathing too. Plus when breath in deep more oxygen will be circulated to your brain in another word it help you to think better instead of go blank.

hmmm
need to factor in sleep and rest too I guess
But think of this, the more you practice or are prepared, the easier the questions will be. When they are second nature to you, even if there's mental blocks, it doesn't really matter anymore.

I guess it's similar to how sometimes when you meet some one, you know the name but jsut can't recall on the spot..
