standards of current uni is bound to dropped further. A very bright student living in the east part of singapore wouldnt bothered to travel all the way down to NTU to study engine if he/she can study the same course at changi.

ntu = boon lay
nus and sim = kent ridge, clementi
smu = bugis
polytechnics also same... north, south, east, west also got.

but wait if we group them up by region
NTU, NUS, UniSIM, NP & SP are all at e Western corridor
RP, NYP in e North
SMU is e Central Business District
TP in e East....
so adding one more tert inst in e East wun kill really tat much

nah, i disagree. it would equals to having more student coming in, with some late bloomers, dey would excel~
