Hi all
I'm not sure if this is within the A lvl syllabus but more for knowledge purposes, can somebody explain how to go about solving the following inequality:
|2x-2| + x + 3 > |3x-2|
I'm not sure if the inequality can be solved eventually, but I would like to know the method of solving such inequality. The only way I can think of is graphically.
Thanks in advance.
Graphical method would be the clearest and easiest.
The other way is to use analysis in which you segregrate x into 3 different groups of values... which is actually the same method in which the graphical method is based on, just that you do not draw out the graph.
