Anyone can recommend good social studies books that focus on source base skills? Thanks.
no book to recommend, but source base questions ask here ask there all the same 1, why buy?
I am bad at it.
get help from your ss teacher...im sure they have many excercises for you to do and they will also be in a better position to coach you compared to a dead lifeless book

What she always does is just tell us off that we did poorly, give us notes and questions to do.
I follow her notes, but still it isn't good.
my teacher always tell me
source base is just a game
how do u play a game ?
just follow the rules.

hey thanks, yea maybe i should try.
But meanwhile, any recommended books?
Hmm, my teacher gives notes on how to answer source based questions. There are skills on how to answer CERTAIN type of questions. At one sight you will have to spot what kind of question it is and answer using the skills.
btw
how different is source b from c
how similar is source b from c
in what ways are they similar
How far is source b diff from c
why so many way of asking
source base have only about 5 types
Inference "is the cartoonist a support of ..."
Compare/contrast "How different are source A and B.'
reliabilty "Does source D prove .."
usefulness "How useful is source E in showing.."
mixed question type."Source A and E are different in content, does it mean that one of them is wrong?"
You will need to master the skills from finding
1. purpose PAMOV (problem, audience, messgae, intended outcome of speaker and verd)
2. tone (bias, objective, one sided, negative etctec)
3. Reliability enhanced (highest level!)
you can ask your teacher about these skills and i am sure she will help you. i am taking my Os this year too and this format seems to work for me! in my recent SS midyears, i got 78 (: heh.
if you wish to know more, just PM me (:
