Doesn't seeing all that snow just make you want to head over to a nearby ski resort, and not ski?

Not a lot, thankfully. In fact, we're supposed to be up in the mid-30s sometime this week. Shiok!Originally posted by littlestream:

It sounds like you guys got hit with the same snowstorm that wreaked havoc in the Northeast over the weekend. It'll probably be a while before the streets in your area return to "normal," so please take care when you're driving on the roads, okay?Originally posted by littlestream:lucky you. i heard kansas badly hit.
well, so were we. kind of. it's not the worst storm but one since year 2000 tho'. so we were kinda spoilt with such nice winters.
a few cars stalled along my street. one even had such a bad turn, skidded and slide but thankfully, hit the snow banks nia.
the wind was so strong. i had to dig out my eddie bauer jacket for the first time in a long time. wanted to play in the snow while hubby do the snow blower thingy.
he is so kind. he helped out so many neighbours who got stucked with their cars. many of them got snowed in. we are lucky. hubby did a few rounds of shovelling so we don't get snowed in.
anyways, the storm has passed but the roads are still messy. took me over an hour to get to work this morning. i would have turn back home but hubby was the driver. he's off till year end and is making himself my chauffeur. i am blessed.

Winters up here can be harsh, but they build character!
