That must be due to the Prius' popularity amongst Californians. A colleague at my office just took delivery of a brand new one last week, and she didn't have to wait at all.

I think hybrids need to be lighter. The Prius is still quite ok at 2800lbs. The Accord hybrid and Nissan Altima hybrid are horrendously heavy at ~3500lbs. When you have a car that heavy, everytime you have a stop/go routine, it takes a lot to get moving.
Anyone has a Smart on order?

Prices at the pump actually took a slight dip today. It's a tad under $3.00/gal. at most stations around here this evening.

it was 1194 for a LOOOOONG time. and then suddenly it dropped to 114(something) for a couple of days. and during that time, my mom didnt realize it and so she didnt feed the car!!! >< until it ran low. and by the time my mom said we need gas, it had risen back up to 1182. T.T
