Gas Prices ! .....

speaking of gas ..... here's my rant :
I only fill up at two stations; shell and petrocanada ...... cos these were WERE ! the only two stations that DIDN'T adulterate their gas with any amount of ethanol .......
until today .... I filled up at shell on my last tank ... and I noticed that the car was sluggish .... and accelerates slower than usual .... I thought something was wrong ... until my next fill up today .... shell has actually quietly added stickers at the pump indicating the presence of up to 10% of ethanol in their gas ! ....
I hopped back into the car for the nearest petrocanada station ....

get used to it fatum. when every filling station in Canada uses ethanol what are you gonna do, ride your bicycle?
MG, it was $3.95 in Coranado, CA a couple weeks ago....I see it easily going above $4 this summer.
$2.77 is the cheapest here today, and $3.89 in Needles, CA is the highest in the US. -

This morning, the gas station across the street was charging $2.69/gal.
I just came back from an after-lunch coffee run to that station, where the price board now shows $2.94/gal. -

i had to put mine today at US$3.39 for mid tier chevron that was the lowerest i can find. I was at death valley it was selling at $4.20 regular last weekend. i think we are going to see $4.50 at least by end of summer.

$2.88 is the cheapest in town today...highest in the nation was $4.04/gal in Oakland, CA

piangz......i use the car only once a week nia. looks like doesn't make sense to be paying the lease and insurance.

It's hit $4 in some parts of the city already. I usually fill up at Costco because it's the cheapest around here. Yesterday it was $3.32 a gallon.

Prices around here have moderated slightly; I was seeing an average of $2.95/gal. at gas stations around here this evening.

I have been "uninformed". It was at 1.07 and I tot it was 1.02.
This morning, it reads at 1.05. Must be the strength of the recent C$!!!
Time to visit the big Apple
