Did you guys hear why gas prices are so stubborn to fall? Apparently it's the gas owners this time. They bought their gas some time back when prices were high and they want to recoup their cost. They're watching their competitors and playing games with each other, waiting to see who lowers prices first and by how much.

The fuel price in Australia is coming down too.... the government has put pressure on the petrol company to drop the price or to face fine. I filled up early this week at A$1.12/litre and heard the news this morning that the price might come down to A$1/litre by next week. $1.83/gal. was the best price I saw in my neighbourhood yesterday. Drove down to Rochester for the big gun show there yesterday and saw that their gas prices were noticeably higher (around $1.96/gal.).
