I'm beginning to notice a new pricing trend at the pumps, in which the price varies according to the time of the day. To use yesterday as an example, the price at the station across the street started at $2.09 in the morning, soared to $2.36 in the afternoon, then moderated to $2.19 in the evening. This has been happening for a few weeks already. -

From the short drive I took last night, prices are so varied. $2.45 at one ARCO, $2.55 at another. $2.67 at the Thrifty across the way.
