yeah..i think online courses may be pretty good to start off. you can try other virtual trading as well..like tradehero, it has an app as well and i used to play it
You can also read up ebooks to find out more about Forex : http://offers.markettraders.com/free-forex-ebook/7tysforex-lifeline-06-chapter-6.pdf
.
Trying out virtual trading based on real world forex would be your best bet. invest on some books and online courses and play with the market.
Try Hull Traders. It is a new business and very focused on risk management. The boss prefers the traders to keep practising for consistency until you are suitable to trade. Not many can enter. Only accept 5 traders so far from 200 applicants. Only for native Singaporeans who don't expect a salary so soon. PR and Foreigners can only be external traders. You won't earn anything until you are truly good. Best thing is it is free, but extremely tough to get in. It is getting traders to help trade holding cap to $1m before getting CMS license. It is one of a few home grown business that is focused on building trading teams. Try find it. If u are determined, this is the firm to go. Other firms are more focused on technical analysis.

Hi,
Am starting to trade forex since last year as well. Everyone has different approach to forex trade. Some learns thru some experienced trader friend for free, some read online (the result may differ, some got very good result just by reading online and experiment with it)
And know the method you like as well, I am SRDC personally.
Good luck :)

There are two main categories in forex trading cources:
1. Online Cources
2. Individual training
Online courses can be compared to distance learning in a college-level class. An instructor provides PowerPoint presentations, eBooks, trading simulations and so on. A trader will move through the beginner, intermediate and advanced levels that most online courses offer. For a trader with limited foreign exchange knowledge, a course like this can be invaluable. These courses can range from $50 to well into the hundreds of dollars.
Individual training is much more specific, and it is advised that a trader have basic Forex training before entering. An assigned mentor, typically a successful trader, will go through strategy and risk management but spend the bulk of the time teaching through placing actual trades. Individual training runs between $1,000 and $10,000.

One way to learn and practise anyime is to use a mobile app like the free iPhone app Trade A Minute. It is fun and uses historic data with all technical indicators - a good way to track your progress and trading psychology.
