Dear,
Been in Singapore for 8 months now, relocated from Japan and currently searching for a job as IT business analyst/project manager or pre-sale consultant support (8 years+ in these roles).
The main issue I have is that I have 10years + of working experience in Futures/Options/Equities asset classes in major tier one companies (CS, SG...) , then poor working experience in FX or fixed income which are the main area for Singapore-based Financial firms.
Therefore, that gives me quite some disadvanges to find suitable positions and to compete with others candidates.
Obviously, I wish to stay in Singapore and give a chance to find a job here as I am holding a PEP.
To fill this blank, I am thinking to go through some training, learning lessons, so then I can put it on my resume and claim that I have the knowledge.
what you think? any recommendations of training?
You can go to stock broking like Lim & Tan Securities : http://www.eq.com.sg , Phillip Securities : http://www.phillip.com.sg to be trained as their Trading representative , otherwise you can go to the official broker school, The Institute of Banking & Finance to get your qualification : http://www.ibf.org.sg or ShareInvestor Academy for their short course : http://www.shareinvestor.com/sg/events/shareinvestor_academy
You can also watch these video about forex techniques : http://www.forexincomeengine.com/v3
Also the video from World Cup Advisor : http://www.worldcupadvisor.com/WCAFrame.aspx?url=/ntour/WCATour12midflv.htm
