pte car can like taxi. can taxi use for private hiring under uber or grab? can enjoy surge charge too. why not? better utilize of taxi? may attract more drivers -> more taxi can rent out.
wat do u tink? lta can bo?
If taxi can be used like private hired, then private cars also want to be like taxi. It would be a mess in my opinion?

it is already in a mess now. uber n grab anyhow can change fare due to demand. do u see anyone complain about tis. so no problem, rider can handle such mess. lta sure no problem cause they just dont care since nobody complain. it is a commerical world n no regulation for private hired car to charge more.why stop ppl from earning more if there is willing payer? why discriminate td to do charity work when there is demand? why double standard
change fare due to demand is good what (for driver)
no mess
will show on the app very clearly it's high demand/surge
rider has to agree to proceed
all recorded de

A Grab driver had an unfortunate encounter with a passenger from "hell" when she refused to leave his car for an hour.
Stomper Stanley, a fellow Grab driver, shared the video and driver's account of what happened from his Facebook chat group SG GrabCar & Uber Drivers.
According to the driver, Eugene Tan, he had driven her to her destination at Block 327C Anchorvale Road and ended the trip just before reaching.
She then started kicking up a fuss about a $15 promo code that Grab was offering riders that she had not keyed in and accused him of ending the trip early so that she could not key it in.
The driver then explained to her that she needed to key in the code before booking her ride but she remained adamant and refused to leave the car, calling him a "smart alec".
Not knowing what to do, Eugene called the Grab corporate office and passed the phone to the woman who then demanded whoever was on the line call her directly on her mobile.
She then continued to shout and interrupt Eugene's conversation on the phone.
When he mentioned the police, she quickly decided it was better for her to call them herself and spoke to the police while he was on the line with the corporate office.
She claimed that the driver had purposely ended her booking in order to get more bookings.
According to Eugene's post in the Facebook chat group, she remained in his car for an hour.
He wrote:
"Police activated, waste of public resources. Isn't this [a] rider from hell?"
yes, u have to key in the promo code before booking
tried yday (GRAB4YEARS)
successful for the early afternoon trip but due to many ppl wanna use the code, it was high demand and the fare become ridiculous...... which becamse the usual fare after using the promo code
wanna use it again on another hp on the return trip but it was fully redeemed (20,000 redemptions every monday)
Stomper Pissedoz paid her fare in cash to the driver after using the GrabCar service on June 12 -- only to realise her credit card was already charged.
Her trip at 5.30pm that day from Tai Seng costed $6.
According to her, the GrabCar driver did not seem to know she had already been charged and took her cash. She only found out about the double-charge after she alighted.
The Stomper says that her friend also experienced the same exact problem of paying cash, only to realise her credit card had been charged.
She feels that the app should be clearer about what mode of payment it is.
To make matters more frustrating, she could not get a clear resolution from the company.
The Stomper told Stomp that she had called multiple times, and was told she will "get a call".
She waited but did not get it yet. She called back and was told to repeat her story all over again.
The second person who attended to her also told her to wait for a call, so that the relevant people can speak to the Stomper.
The Stomper called back a third time, and was told by the third person to wait for an email once the situation was resolved.
"It's not about the money," the Stomper explained. "I don't know how many customers have also experienced this."
She wants to warn other customers to check their charges.
u can set your payment mode in the settings
and when u book, it will show what payment mode u are using
dont know why riders always like to argue when they themselves are c0ck
she refused to leave his car not because of $15!the real reason is she feel itchy below n shy to ask this guy go hotel,so pretend lo!!BUT she not chio so grabcar pretend donno also lo...:)
It's about drvrs honesty,I also have paxs pay me cash n also I forget n charge him again by credit.but later find out,so call grab to cancel payment
Frankly speaking, it's the honesty of the DRIVER, just call GRAB to cancel payment
yeah. honest drivers would be nice.
alot paxs use grabPay by credit card but ownself also donno and want to pay cash to me!!!But i always told them "u book by GrabPay!!"Want to cheat ...CHEAT THE BANK,CHEAT THE RICH PPL
Sat nite i Grab from CQ
but after dropping off my fwen i wanna continue the journey to my jib
i read somewhere that it is $5 for additional stop within 5km
but then the driver dunno hw to input/update that from his end
(no such option on rider's app oso)
so in the end he just pretend to "Grab" from the location to my destination and see the cost and ask me pay in cash
i just wanna get home asap so just give loh

I took a few uberX and grabcar trips at midnite after handover the taxi
For uberX a long trip cost me 19.00 only , whereas if i have taken taxi it would have cost me 27.00
A short trip by uberX cost me 4.80 only, thats the price of boarding a taxi ! (this short trip could have cost btw 6 ~ 7 for a taxi )
Somemore the vehicles they used are new SUVs and sedans ...
And coming soon , uber is introducing uberpool which will further reduce the cost by 25% !
Riders poom pee pee , drivers jin dua kee ...
