Stomper Sherry booked a taxi using the GrabTaxi application which she never got to board. However, her unpleasant experience did not end there.
After making the booking earlier today (Mar 3), the cabby called Sherry to inform her of his arrival. She then told the taxi driver to give her five minutes before she would be down, only to find that he had already left afterwards.
To make things worse, she later received a message from the taxi driver, who called her a 'bitch' and accused her of playing him out.
The Stomper related the incident:
"I encountered a nasty taxi driver while booking a taxi from the GrabTaxi app. I wish to report the unacceptable and horrible attitude of taxi driver Chen Kai Ji (Taxi number SHD 1843 L).
"I made a booking today (Booking number ADR-0765833-1-47) and the taxi driver called at 7.23am to inform that he has arrived.
"I told him to wait five minutes as I was preparing to leave home and go downstairs to board the cab.
"However, upon reaching at the lift lobby, the taxi was no longer there. The taxi driver had not waited and left without even informing at all.
"A few minutes later, i received an SMS from Chen Kai Ji's mobile with the message, "Bitch, u like to play ppl out".
"His language is UNACCEPTABLE, especially when I am not aware of what is happening and suddenly received his SMS. It is indeed very APPALLING to receive such an SMS from the taxi driver."
Sherry said that she has lodged a report with the GrabTaxi application.
Can his taxi Co take action against him even though booking wasn't fm them?

so the co. is still able to ask him to la kopi to talk about his attitude

driver from premier taxi.. toyota prius.... dun think the company will bother lah..
now problem is that no one know what the lady have say to the driver at all? and she still ask the driver to wait 5 mins?? if she not yet ready, then dun book taxi lah...

That's why LTA has changed the rules for 3rd party apps Co. They must have a dept to handle complaints and loss and found items.
This means that if the booking is through GrabTaxi, then GrabTaxi must handle the complaint as GrabTaxi collects the call levy revenue and therefore she is a customer of GrabTaxi.
Why should the Taxi Co., who treats GrabTaxi as its competitor want to handle the complaint for GrabTaxi? Let GrabTaxi suffer a bad reputation lah..Better still, let GrabTaxi sack the all the drivers so that the drivers guai guai go back take their calls.

Aiya, nothing happen without a reason, pple get so fedup is becos there is something that anger them, no one will get angry for nothing...except those siao lang. The pax might hv had agitated the driver...according to the driver, he called after the grace period of waiting was over. She replied that she will be down in 5 more minutes....he then waited another 10 minutes..still no one appear...so move off angrily lor. If you put yourself in the cabby shoes, time to cabby is critical during their chiong time..especially so during peak period, pax taking it for granted with delaying tactic is a cost to the cabby. Last night I told a call at Aspen (river valley), I was on the way to town to earn that $3 surcharge...(keng), the call came in at Valley point, so take lor, also got $3 mah. Pressed 5minutes, reached already, left 2minute, so waited, after 5 minutes, no one appear, called the pax, he said he dunno where he put his passport...still looking, asked me to wait...and the most niciest word he said is...UNCLE YOU CAN ON THE METER FIRST, TRUST ME. knn..if I on the meter you dun come down, limpek kenna levy for nothing. But I took the risk and trusted him. After another 4minutes, he rushed down...AP T3. Reached, give me tip somemore...at T2 waiting, I really appreciate this pax, he perfectly understand that cabby is also earning a living, and time is a major factor, he therefore, do not wish to waste driver time. So, if pax wants to prolong the time, at least tell the cabby to ON the meter. It is all a matter of trust. Travel to pick up location and waiting, all add up to 20++ minutes and get nobody whereby you would had taken someone on the road desparately looking for a cab. In another word, pax is not only wasting a cabby earning time, she is also wasting other commuters on the road who are waiting for a cab home. Callin her a bitch is already very good liao...if me...limpek fark her kau kau liao

Grab Taxi not bad leh.i try once ,even if u don't know how to go,they have navigation to guide u there.i just follow and manage to reach there.also their destination can use navigation.like that ah,CDG got competition liao!

Ah fool, of cos they will guide you, becos pax also can see you, so if you are guided and yet go wrong way..pax sure to laugh or fark upside down..knn, taxi uncle tio guide olso can drive wrong..phuixx

What's the point unless there is a charge for call cancellation? Pax can just ignore and dun even call and the TD llst.

Pax cannot cancel call? ani kwan pax got excuse to give you no show lor...everything can be cancel, not only booking taxi, book hotel, aeroplane, insurance, appointment, casket...and so on...also can cancel...what is taxi?

Yeah one thing good abt apps even ur inside toilet pangsai.still can bid for jobs!disadvantages eg give taxi stand nos. esp at CBD.bus stop location even multistory Carpark.

Pang sai...must enjoy pang sai mah...grab smlj taxis..play game better...lols Relax lah, no wonder they said TD stressful and got health issue...pang sai also want to take call...knn Next time, I send you in my casket van, then still can hear you grabbing for pax..dun worry, limpek will burnt a good iphone for you
