Good morning.
Woke up to the news of new bus svc at my place....
And then I found its completely useless to me because it already duplicates at least 5 services at my side.
I cant keep my eyes open...
Well, the day of reckoning has arrived.
Have they finished counting....or have they started?
I havent really followed.
From what I can tell in the American papers, voting is still ongoing and will continue for a few more hours.
Currently Mitt is leading...
obama 60+, Mitt 100
Seriously?
Latest...
Obama catching up

now this 2nd gen 116 is more like supplementary service…
This service is a waste of resources.
The route is duplicated everywhere....they might as well make it longer and more useful??
What use is a new service if its gonna have a lousy frequency anyway, as I can forsee?

Democracy has a fundamental weakness...
In Democracy, people holds the Ultimate power and nothing will stop the people from giving that power to someone who appeals to the lowest common denominator of a large segment of the population...
all u need is a good demagogue to bring down a democratic society... A good live example would be ancient Athens...
I think acid can go further studies already.
Polls haven't closed yet in California, Washington, Oregon, Hawaii and Alaska, and those first 4 will probably vote for Democrats.
If it's too close in Florida and Ohio we'll have to wait for provisional votes there to be counted on the 17th, because they come from people who haven't got identification or other issues and need to be verified.

I am reminded of a research paper that I read recently for my research.
Common understanding today is a western-centric view that rationality and emotions are separate.
But recent study on a patient who suffered a tumour that destroyed his ability to feel apparently found that he also now suffers from confounded decision-making.
So a new theory emerged that you cant be rational without emotions.
The fundamental basis behind is that you use emotions to rank choices. Eg. I prefer laksa over wonton mee is based on cognitive mapping via emotions.
So without emotions => inability to rank => irrational choices.

Barry has his faults, but a Romney win would mean four more years of a Dubya-like administration. And that might well be an understatement.
Bloody rednecks are going to screw everything up.
At our side, China's leadership transition is seeing a lot of provocative actions of late.
I wonder if they will die down after that.

The Tea Party will drag the country 50 years back in time, and no one wants to see another pre-emptive war on Iran.
Even if BHO wins it's going to be difficult, because it looks like the GOP will maintain their House majority. Are they going to play hard ball again with the fiscal cliff looming?
