Most ppl wouldn't even know that Gangnam style refe to the korea district "Gangnam"... akin to our Orchard Road...That said, even southpark made an episode on gangnam style

I've always held that in order to truly appreciate a song, you must be able to at least get the gist of the lyrics. A catchy tune means nothing without the lyrics.
