I got the DVD. It wasn't even scary to me at all. I guess the most attractive quality about the movie is the way the gradual appearance of more ominous events mirror the psychological breakdown of the mother due to the stresses of single parenthood.

The ghost is actually envy of the child for having a mother to look after her, and decides to "trade" the child back for a mother where he will be "eternally" looked after....
yah...quite a selfish ghost, but can understand, cuz a child ghost also not very mature and will be jealous....so heck, the mother is sacrificed.

the management knew about the death of the gal all along? But they did not report to the authorities?
Remember the part where the mother read the logbook.It said that the water tank had not been washed since July 1999? That means the management discovered the death but did not report? Since then,they did not dare wash the water tank?
By the way,to increase the scream factor,perhaps they can show a bloated face. That is what happens to people after death by drowning. -

ya, nice movie...the ending was very touching...the best part of the movie in my point of view...the mother sacrifice herself for her daughter's sake...ya...not like the typical ghost movies...with all the fright and horror....at least this one involves emotions....
