THE FIRST SINGAPORE, PHILIPPINES AND HONG KONG COLLABORATION ON A HORROR MOVIE -
THE MAID
MediaCorp Raintree Pictures, the Media Development Authority of Singapore, MovPix International Inc (Philippines) and Dream Movie Entertainment (Hong Kong) are pleased to announce a movie collaboration -
THE MAID.
THE MAID tells a horror story from Singapore. Reflecting the local culture and the lifestyle of many households dependent on maids, the filmmakers aim to produce a compelling horror movie against the unique Singapore backdrop and colour.

“
THE MAID is a colourful and downright creepy spookfest replete with Teochew opera, freaked-out Filipino maids and haunting Seventh-month vibes. This movie is a very personal film for me in that it captures all the evocative and freaky things in Singapore that scare the living daylights out of me. It will be creepy shooting a horror flick in Singapore – a place so small the living are practically dwelling next door to the dead,” says Writer and Director Kelvin Tong.
THE MAID will also star MediaCorp artistes Chen Shu Cheng, Hong Hui Fang and local newcomer Benny Soh. This will be Shu ChengÂ’s first leading role in a movie and Hui FangÂ’s second movie after her debut in THAT ONE NOT ENOUGH.
seen its movie trailer? think it's going to be "exciting" to watch such show during the Chinese 7th month.
