would you buy movies on VCD or DVD?

  if u're gonna buy a movie, would you buy it on VCD or DVD?

  DVDs, as the sound & picture quailty is much better than VCDs

  haha. what year already, still no dvd player. nowasdays dvd player super cheap, can even play vcd too. any plans to buy 1 soon?

  DVDs for the better quality and the interactive functions.
  
  but actually some movies only come in the VCD versions eg those HongKong movies and OLDER movies.

  depends on the price and packaging.
  
  if dvd looks better and the difference in pricing is not that great, then I'll get DVD. I even get DVD from hk. Canto version, which is few bucks more exp than those selling in sg.

  Cheap
  
  DVD
  Surperb video quality!
  excellent sound quality
  widescreen format. (a movie can only be truely appreciated in the widescreen format not fullscreen)
  DVD extras
  scene selection
  no need to watch halfway change disc
  subtitles
  commemtaries by the directors etc
  
  and there u have it. i'm definately a DVD nut, love the pixel perfect video quality and those DVD extras, i simply love to watch extras, for example the Lord of the Rings extended editions. make me better appreciate the movie after knowing how it was made.
