hi, just wanna check if there are any rules regulating toilet breaks in singapore?
issit legal for companies to monitor toilet breaks as to when and how long you go?
I think is legal. (So long as there is no video, so you may want to plant a RFID card reader to scan in.)
My company require me to sign in and sign out when i go to the toilet,
the sign-in/out log is under a cctv. Have a feeling that it is wrong.
Any other companies do that?
That is weird thing I ever come across.

You know if a company mgt have to spend resources on this topics I will defintely Fire the Management.

It is a human right and labor law violation... All work environment must provide clean and accessible sanitation. No companies can discouraging employees for going to the toliet.
Also you have to take into account how many hours have the "workers" worked. If worker smoke in the toilet you can always put a smoke detector and no smoking sign.
Managing people is not about take them like animal or children. Is to treat them like adult and encourage them to behave like one.
Just considered if the workers/employees complaint to UN NGO watch dog your factories or company name will be listed internationally. No international customers will want to do business with a company that repressed its employees for human right or labor law violation.
In this days and age anybody can upload stuff on internet think twice.....that is why i said the Management need to be FIRED!!!

YOu company practises no human right.
they claimed that they did not restrict the amount of time needed to go to the toilet. they just want to monitor for no reasons.

As long as they do not use the "toilet time" to deduct your pay . then let them do lor.
Maybe the HR exec is got OCD. Wasting material cost only.
