  So can u imagine how vast it is...? More spacious than u can imagine. In the Amituofo sutra, Shakyamuni Buddha said there are countless sravakas (sheng wen), arhats, bodhisattvas like the sand of Ganges River (translation correct right...?)

   

  But I can't help to bring in the picture of Avici Hell.

  Di Zang sutra stated... just one sentient being alone suffering there, the Hell is fully occupied. If many beings, the Hell is still equally fully occupied... really defies the understanding of physical space. (二者�一人亦满，多人亦满，故称无间)

  Forgot to add, some people without 3rd eyes claim to see Amituofo coming to bring the departed. Some claim to hear heavenly music, or unique fragrance that fill the air around the departed... all these are auspicious signs... 

  There are many people asking this question recently. My dharma friends asked my Zen Master few weeks ago. My Zen master laughed and said there is no such thing as the queue is long and Pureland has not enough space. I roughly know what my Zen Master is trying to say but do not know how to tell you guys. All I can say is don't need to worry about the space issue.

  Chanting it out is important ..just concentrating on the name ... i suppose you referring to jodo shinshu [Japanese Pureland] practice ? I not in favour , and its my personal opinion.Chanting is a important purification step . If you think about concentrating on His name , i will suggest you take reference from Vajrayana Buddhism on Visualisation of Ami Dewa [Amitabha in Tibetan]

   

  Which have to goes through an qualified Rinpoche

  Even if in one-pointed mind, and without Faith and Vow is void as well. Having faith and vow, while 心散乱, still will materialise. This is because Pure Land comprises of four abodes intertwinted by buddha and sentient beings absolute reality nature. However, the recitation å�£å¿µå¼¥é™€å¿ƒæ•£ä¹±,喊破喉咙也枉然  bear blessing and buddha seeds that will erupt in near future to be determined by conditions of faith and vow, and dharma practitioners. _(())_
