Buddhism has been merged with the local culture when it enter Tibet. So it is not surprising that it has Hindu components in it. Kundalini is an Hindu term and so not surprising it found its way into Tibetan Buddhism. Just like Taoism and buddhism influence each other in China.
The thing is to practice Buddhism and the focus is on awakening Kundalini? Buddha never taught such thing before. In fact, he emphasied that the Dharma should be made avaliable to everyone and there should be no secrets. And, so what if one awaken the Kundalini? Gopi Krishnan, the famous guy who supposingly awaken his Kundalini, said in his lecture that can be found in Utube: he spend much of his time reflecting. Does that sound familiar? That is mindfulness.
To me Kundalini is something that comes naturally and safely when one realise the ultimate truth: emptiness, impermanence, selflessness and universal love. Artifically arosing it is dangerous and painful (again check out Gopi Krishnan's account).
How can you say Gopi Krisnan artificially arose his kundalini when he had already mentioned he did a lot of yoga and meditation before it happened.
Please at least take sometimes to read his writings before you alleged such thing.
Shakyamuni Buddha had preached about Kundalini and Several sutras mentioned it.

Who are the authors to these text you mentioned?
I think if Kundalini is of such importance to attaining liberation, Buddha would have made it very clear to us.
Gopi suffered quite a bit before everything stabilised. He didn't has a master who know what happened to him that is required when things went wrong. Not everyone can survive such a traumatic experience without some permanent damage.

How come you are so thick ? you still haven't gotten the idea who is the author ?

He is his own master. Not everyone can be their own master. In modern society, kundalini experiencers can turn to psychology , transpersonal psychiatrist to help them solve the problems. Not necessary must be religious way.
The titles you mentioned sounds like they are written by some followers of Buddha or even Yoga texts. That's why I asked if they are original words of Buddha. If by followers or third parties, then could be something else.
When you mentioned he's his own master? You mean we cannot follow Buddha's way? How can that be?
A very famous quote from Buddha , when he was enlightened under the Bodhi Tree,
he maveled " How strange, all Sentient Beings has their buddha nature but they don't realise it".
Gopi Krishnan is of those who realised his own buddha nature.
I notice most people I come in contact with have some Buddha's nature, but at different stage, just that defilements level and urge to be purified is different.
I am still curious to know the info you know about where Buddha has directly mentioned Kundalini?
Gopi confirmed has the urge to purify himself further, and his Samathi accomplishment is already very high level.
You know , if you can post here , i am sure you can also goggle and find the information you want.
Buddha having kundalini meditation lived about 525 years before Christ in India .The teachings of Buddha having kundalini meditation developed in India as a reformative outgrowth of Vedic Hinduism and provide an extensive self discipline in karma life and liberation from karma cycle by realization of inner spiritual knowledge that is flowing in conscious mind of all living being in universe. Buddha having kundalini meditation preaching has emerged lovable Religion Buddhism that is widely followed in this world.
From time immemorial it has been known that some people, Yogis, Gurus, Shamen, Priests, Saints, Paramahamsas, Buddhas, Christs, have evolved to a state of high energy.
These pure and good people, wanting benefit and happiness for all, without a trace of selfishness and competition have been known to have psychic powers.
Their search for energy and goodness has precipitated within them the next stage of human evolution. For thousands of years they have been Good Doctors, Good Priests, founders of religion, Philosophic Geniuses, Advisors of Kings, Musical Geniuses, Poets, Makers of the Law.
For thousands of years these people, wielding amazing Siddhis or Psychic powers, have been recorded as healing of the sick, casting out mental sickness, coming in dreams, communicating through telepathy, the radiation of specialised energies, leaving the body, entering into the body of another, astral travel, telling the future, acting at a distance, raising Kundalini, Shaktipat, the ability to pass healing into amulets, temples, places of peace, pilgrimage sites, creating miracles, birds and beasts come to them in peace.
Doing all this they also pass on their energy in Shaktipat for the awakening of all good students. The shaktipat, the radiation of psychic energies by the enlightened can awaken these abilities in all who come to them. This has been known and recorded in the Sacred literature for thousands of years.
Indeed, some sacred literature states that only by access to the energies of the Masters, can enlightenment be passed on.
For example Gautama Buddha has related many stories about his past lives, - as a Master connects with his Soul which is immortal and remembers all of the past lifetimes, so the newly Enlightened Buddha starts to remember and learn from all his past lives.
All of these past lives have such beauty and such significance for all pre-enlightened.
Gautam Buddha has related many stories of his past lives, and they have such beauty and significance.

The nearest one can gather regarding the cakras, and hence a hint of the Kundalini, I believe can be found in the Surangama Sutra regarding the Buddha’s explanation of the 'unloosening of the knots’ to Ananda. The nearest equivalent form of Buddhist meditative practice to the Kundalini Yoga is the Tibetan gTum-mo or Yoga of the Inner Fire Meditation.
Padmasambhava also hid a number of religious treasures (termas) in lakes, caves, fields and forests of the Himalayan region to be found and interpreted by future tertöns or spiritual treasure-finders.[11] According to Tibetan tradition, the Bardo Thodol (commonly referred to as the Tibetan Book of the Dead) was among these hidden treasures, subsequently discovered by a Tibetan terton, Karma Lingpa.
Padmasambhava (Sanskrit पदà¥मसमà¥à¤à¤µ; Tibetan: པདྨ་འབྱུང་གནས; Wylie: padma 'byung gnas; Mongolian ловон Бадмажунай, lovon Badmajunai, Chinese: è“®è¯ç”Ÿ (pinyin: LiánhuÄshÄ“ng), The Lotus Born, was a sage guru from Oá¸á¸iyÄna (modern Swat) who is said to have transmitted Vajrayana Buddhism to Bhutan and Tibet and neighbouring countries in the 8th century. In those lands he is better known as Guru Rinpoche ("Precious Guru") or Lopon Rinpoche,[1] or, simply, Padum in Tibet,[2] where followers of the Nyingma school regard him as the second Buddha. He said: "My father is the intrinsic awareness, Samantabhadra (Sanskrit; Tib. ཀུན་à½ུ་བཟང་པོ). My mother is the ultimate sphere of reality, Samantabhadri (Sanskrit; Tib. ཀུན་à½ུ་བཟང་མོ). I belong to the caste of non-duality of the sphere of awareness. My name is the Glorious Lotus Born. I am from the unborn sphere of all phenomena. I consume concepts of duality as my diet. I act in the way of the Buddhas of the three times."[citation needed]
His Pureland Paradise is Zangdok Palri (the Copper-coloured Mountain).[3][4]
He is further considered an emanation of Buddha Amitabha[5] and traditionally even venerated as "a second Buddha".http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Padmasambhava
Thanks for the info. I am only familiar with Theravada and I refer to the Buddha that discovered Dharma.
I am just asking where is the documentation that Buddha (Guatama) has directly touched on the term Kundalini and emphasised that it is an important step we should work on to reach enlightenment. Something I cannot find, that is why I consulted you.
If you refering to mizhong, or huofo etc. then I am not surprised there is direct mentioning of Kundalini. There is no doubt when one can activate the energy in a certain way like qigong, kundalini using the power of the mind and focus. Or in a awaken state the aura is differently charged compare to a normal being.

It's ok.... I also didn't know Kundalini is associated with Buddhism....
There is also mention of kundalini (fire) in Taoism ancient text but taoist text chinese is even more complicated to understand than Buddhist ancient text.
One short sentence can have many meanings and one word can refer to certain position in the human body. More cheam than what i can read on website.
The famous Taoist text that mention energy movement in a human body (related to kundalini and chakra, ying and yang ) is the Huang Ting Jing ( Yellow ......sutra).
" How strange, all Sentient Beings has their buddha nature but they don't realise it". -Buddha
"How strange, buddhist followers strive to attain enlightenment while millions of commoners who does not believe in the existence of god but lead an honest life is actually living the life of a buddha" - Admund
Taoist I agree. The Dan Tian furnace, the small heavenly circle. The upper, middle and lower Dan. Yuan shen etc. Some what have co-relationship with Kundalini. Somewhat due to attachment to body and immortality.
I disagree with your viewpoint that it is due to attachment to body and immortality.
The ancient Taoist gurus had made the same observation as Gopi Krishnan, as Buddha, as Hinduism and they wrote it down. It is within our body system and some people will experience it.
The ancient Taoist even go one step further to instruct ( although in coded words) their followers how to achieve enlightenment ( deity status ) via this natural human body phenomenon.
Maybe got something to do with the realms mentioned in Buddhism. The interaction of Karma with other beings (esp. higher) etc. Deity= God Realms? But this not the emphasis of Theravada school.
I may be generalising Taoism practice too much in my previous post. Sure, different school may has different motivations. Materials I come across maybe limited, on Yuan Ying and Tai Yi Jin Hua Bao Dian (something to do with watching the breath similar to Buddhism).
It is the same Kundalini all are referring to but humans use different words to describe their understanding of it.
Deity, God, Enlightenment in various denominations may just be the same thing.
Talking about it in words are just not the same as when you are there.
