Chene Lhundup Rinpoche, a disciple of the late HH Polo Khen Rinpoche and HE
Geshe Pema Thinley Rinpoche, was born in 1932 at Minphel Kheng Tsheldang,
Bhutan.His father the great Yogi Drupchu Dorji was a long time follower of the
great lama Togden Sacha Sherig from Tibet Because of his pure mind, inner
dedication and devotion towards his master he was the only one to recieve a most
sacred Phurba a hidden treasure of Guru Rimpoche discovered by a terton The
Phurba has been the sole relic in Rinpoche's community and has cured many people
from hazardous diseases One of Rinpoche's main practice is Vajrakilaya and he is
highly adept in a vast repertire of sacred skills and methods as was predicted
by Holiness Penlop Khen Rinpoche and Eminence Geshe Pema Thinley Rinpoche
Overcoming many hardships he bulit Tsheldang Gompa in 1970 and Urgyen Choling
Monastery to preserve and transmit Buddhist teachings Chene Lhundup Rinpoche was
bestowed many karma and terma teachings by the late Holiness Dudjom and Holiness
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche in all 4 Vajrayana traditions
Chene Lhundup Rinpoche was a prodigy who became highly accomplished through a
series of meditation retreats. He spent almost five years in Nyimlong Monastery,
studying the great treasure revealer Pema Lingpa's teachings. Sometime later
Rinpoche visited Lhodrak Karchung in Tibet, where he met with the noble Kilkhor
Rinpoche. Under his guidance he was engaged in the practice of Dzogchen in
retreat. Gradually he became a close, trustworthy disciple of Kilkhor Rinpoche
and received many religious texts as gift after completion of retreat. Rinpoche
received the preliminary practices of the Longchen Nyingtik, (Great Expense
Heart Essence) and empowerment and transmission of Lama, Yidam and Khandro later
from his two root teachers HH Polo Khen Rinpoche and HE Geshe Pema Thinley.
Rinpoche has recited more than seventeen million Guru Rinpoche and Sangtongma
mantras (Lion Head Dakini) that help him heal sickness in Bhutan and other
countries. Chimey Lhundrup Rinpoche owns a sacred phurba (dagger) that has
passed onto from generations. This dagger possesses the power to heal illness
