Received this PM from someone I won't say who, but think it has valid points.
You don't have to believe me, but you can check it out yourself because there's a chronology to it.
Zenist stopped mentioning MJK since last weekend. All of this week, he just offered some opinions here and there, but already very much toned down.
It was only until somebody re-opened the Pandora's box by telling him what will happen to him if he continues to bad-mouth MJK, by saying:
"boils and sores around bodies
skin no longer radiate
bad breath
loss of lots of friendship and opportunity as protector of dharma left you
I am not cursing you , but its stated in the sutra . you should be well aware of it ."
... then he started talking about it again yesterday. Who wouldn't be upset if someone curses them like that (yet disqualify and say they are not cursing)? Yet another member of the forum ridiculed Zenist when he was merely asking for clearer instructions to get to a shop in Fortune Center.
Truth is, he didn't mention MJK since last weekend. Even though yes, he probably hasn't changed his viewpoint about MJK, but he had already toned down and talked on a more general level. And actually, you probably don't know this, but Zenist's idea of wrong views not only refers to MJK's views on world religions. He's also questioning why MJK tells his followers not to see the doctor (because medicines are poisonous), but instead chant to get healing.
I'm not Zenist's friend in real life nor even online, so I'm not defending him out of loyalty. I just feel that if you want to persuade a person to have a less extreme view, then to rebuke him (not you, the other forum members) is hardly the right method. Where's the compassion and spirit of charity?
OK, I leave it up to here. I don't wish to offend anyone. There aren't many Buddhist forums around and I do wish to have a healthy, friendly environment in which to continue learning from "older" Buddhists.
cheers.
Yeah, agree. We are all future "citizens of Pureland", 佛第å, let's discuss in peace and make this a healthy, friendly forum for us to further our knowledge in Buddhism è©æé“上更进一æ¥.

Hmm... My view extreme meh?? Never mind... lets just move on.
Relearn & practise Right Speech
Ridiculed Zenist?
who will want to ridicule somebody if the person talks sense?
By repeatingly quoting Di Zi Kui and ridiculing MJK, should not this Zenist be ridiculed in return for his extreme views ?
If a buddhist speak up for monk MJK, he will start to assume this person follows MJK, then he start wacking the forummer.
Even when a shop displays the books of MJK, he also start to wack. When the post is just to recommend a shop to take free buddhist materials. Everything with MJK, any person speak up for MJK, Zenist start to wack .
This is extreme. And dangerous and shows a mental obsession of his disorder mind.
Zenist has never being friendly in his post here. He even call forummer gassho ...which we know what that stands for.
If he doesn't start being friendly here and just harp on one extreme viewpoint , , he deserves to be treated in the same way.

zenist this is a forum for discussing buddhism in a objective manner, it is not your personal forum to attack Jing Kong shifu or to attack forummers who do not agreed with your extreme viewpoint.
Your manner of discussion is more of whacking the forummer as long as you think it has anything to do with Jing Kong shifu. You are a fanatic , not a buddhist.
for the bookshop, you have found it . You can always open your mouth to ask around why it is closed.
Why don't you use your mouth for practical purpose instead of badmouthing others on a forum?

I actually think Zenist have some points and it is ok to voice out his opinions. However he has over emphasized it by saying it repeatedly.
If I have a point to make, I'll make it once, short, and sharp.
whether he has a point or not, he should not be using it to attack participating forummers in a disgusting personal manner.

The thing is, bear in mind the reply from MJK camp which had prompted the ongoing so call voicing out of my opinion. (And also some threads on the issue been locked up, and I bor bian have to start another thread to get to the bottom of the issue...) The MJK camp keep on finding excuses, thats why the whole thing just turn out to be so long winded. If they didn't come up with all kind of excuses, the issue would have settled long time ago.
I apologize for my unskillful communication. I should have go ruthlessly straightforward, and the issue would have ended earlier. But its only until recently, then I buckle up and be as straightforward, and as blunt and to the point, instead of get carried away, sidetracked and tangle up with unnecessary debate. My apology.

I did not attack participating forumers in a disgusting personal matter. U and some of the MJK supporters did.
what MJK camp ? what MJK supporters ? you are making it very political and warlike.
This is not wisdom and not Buddhism.

用‘MJKè¥’å称,那是在政治化,战争化?没问题,我就改用‘MJKå®—’好了。

Skilful communication includes knowing when to stop talking.
By now, you've had ample chance to air your views, so there's no longer any issue about the locking of threads. You can continue to push your point of view another ten thousand times and if others don't agree, they simply won't.
ä¸è‚¯çš„åŠ解。 I'm done with my persuasion.

Zenist69 is not a bad guy.
He is a good buddhist. He points out things that are valid
But Zenist69 you must remember not to attack a ordained person.
That will bring a lot of bad merits to you.
There must be reasons why jing kong shifu did what he did.
I am sure that he knew he will be attacked by putting non-buddhist teaching into
buddhism.
He is sad that morals is down in this dharma ending age.
But still we must respect him as the next patriarch of pureland sect
As practising Buddhists, we should learnt to let go, and not bear grudges. Everyone has Buddha Nature.
:)
