I think best is you get ready power elixirs, lots of elixirs, unagi and elixirs.
If see macis, best is to spread the enemies out and kill one by one. think can kill macis one on one la. Deal you only 500+. Your hp can tahan more than 3hits lor. Problem is athena pierce. -
i saw a video of a ice wizard who killed so fast that he finished killing grendel w/o the macis being summoned

beware that after killing 2macis. After a while, another 2 macis will spawn.

power exlir/exlir are more for mage n warrior...
theif n archer..hp/mp too short u can just take ice cream sucker ..or pure water -

shoe u can just stick to snowshoe foever
glove...no use 1..glove impt is the ATT~ 2-15att.(which means u must scroll if not u wear clean work glove also same)..the little 4-5 dex thingy ..is no use 1 -
