i lvled up and went to look for all mobs in vic and ossy that uses magic attacks. i provoke them, let them attack me a few times, estimate the average damage, and jot them down. after that, i up one point in to elemental resistance, which provides 12% defense, and do the same all over again. this way, i get to know which attacks are "element-based", which ones aren't.
please remember that magic defense differs from char to char, so do not jump into a crowd of magic mobs and expect same damage with mine.
oh one more thing. the elements are just my guesses, so if you find anything wrong might as well reply here

Earthquake attacks are physical, which includes Yeti, Dark Yeti, Yeti and Pepe, Dark Yeti and Pepe, Cerebes, Mushmum, and King Slime's attack. I think banana throws and nependeaths' spits are physical too. The skill Invincible should be able to reduce these damages. I think I left out Jr Effy (firebomb)'s special attack, though.[/b]

well it's still some time before zakum is released, and well, another long period of time for me to make my consideration. maybe i'll just chuck some all cure potions for my zakum party quest's party members... they're littering my storage characters and i've got more than 1.5k of them
