What do you think youths in Singapore are spending their leisure time on?

I think nowadays, youth are spending a relatively large proportion of time using the internet, be it playing computer games or simply surfing the net. Watching videos through websites such as youtube seems to be also a great way for youths to spend their free time as they can get to watch interesting videos there, or even catch the latest dramas!

Well I agree with you, jingybell. But how do you explain the recent increasing number of gang fights in Singapore?

Even though I'm not really familiar with the incidents of gang fights going on, I've also realised the dire consequences it'd brought. Actions of these youths not only took lives of many, but these youths have to face the music too. They're being brought to court, and if guilty would sentence them to years of jail, or probably even a life sentence. I suppose this shows a problem in moral education for youths as some seemed to be unaware of the consequences of their actions.
Perhaps, this also indicates that youths are getting interested to joining gangs nowadays, as they might feel a sense of belonging with their gang and brotherhood? -

@Junyang700. I love your analogy on ESS! I think Singaporeans teens do revolves around this few routines that you have highlighted and it is quite depressing to see that. Don't you think so?
I believe our society plays a role in cultivating such activities in the life of the teens in Singapore. I also feel that teens in Singapore are under to much stress in terms of our education system. No doubt it is good but it has affected the way the teens are spending their leisure time.

In my opinion, I think that majority of the Singapore youths are spending most of their leisure time in front of the computer. No matter it is playing facebook or doing school projects, all this requires them to sit in front of the computer for a long time.

Personally i think that as time pass, technologies are quickly adopted. Internet has overtakes TV as primary enterainment among the youth. They are more active online, playing online games and chatting with friends. It also can be seen by th review from other users

I feel that at this current age and time, youths mostly spend their leisure time online, be it, using Facebook, watching videos, or playing games with their friends. Apart from spending most of their time online, youths still will spend their time hanging out with their friends, having meals and watching movies together. Overall, I feel that how youths spend their leisure time are greatly affected by their friends around them.

Games like maplestory, or warcraft.
Social sites like facebook or twitter, or msn-ing.
Nowsdays, youths love to catch dramas or download movies online to watch, and will most probably in front of the screen for the whole day.
