The new Jobsbank at jobsbank.gov.sg offers quite a decent resume generation service. Now with Singpass - instead of Singfail - pseudo single sign-on, anybody that is an adult Singaporean probably should consider using it to seek jobs.
CVs kept me busy over the past decade, because even though I know and recall clearly what ought to be in a CV, the lousy CVs are the ones that kept head-hunters and human resource in their jobs because it gives them something to criticise about if we get bored talking about the haze or the neck-tie. If one does a really good CV, which also is recommended for freshies, one makes the interview room look better.
Still recall awhile back when I was going through some placards at Republic Polytechnic, those were web designers seeking related jobs, and they made the exhibition really nice when their placard-resumes look like professional websites printed out including their emails, mobile phones, and screenshots of academia portfolios. Honestly being an industry expert interviewing kids give me more meaning at times than being an employee attending conferences.
