The commodities company i work for just went into insolvency due to a rogue trader, and it will probably be liquidated and wound up. Have been there about 1 year since grad from uni.
Currently starting to look for a job, but should I declare this in my resume? Also, will it affect my future job prospects?
can state in reason for leaving
if the interviewer ask abt it then u elaborate
It is beyond your control if the management wind up the company, it will not reflect negatively on you on your resume.
Recruiters are mainly interested on what you can contribute to their organisations. Be positive to state your achievements, credentials. Be confident.
This is very nice post thanks!

TS, if your company is well-known type and you are getting job in the similar sector, even if you keep mute about the reason you leave, your future employer might get the idea. It just like Hewlett Packard is currently 'reconstructing' and if you are an IT director and you saw the interviewer 's last company is HP, don't tell me you can't guess the reason of his/her reason of leaving?
Finally, if you want to get another job quickly, I suggested that you keep in touch with your former colleague of your insolvency company and should they had better opportunity, it will be an advantage to work together again with old faces rather than going back to square one and be treated like beginner again.
Yes it is
