Let's call this Chinese study between ourselves.
A Nutrition unit at NUH:
We invite healthy Chinese (males & females) who fulfil the following criteria to participate in a human nutrition intervention study. (weight loss study)
21 to 60 years old
BMI from 27-40
Non smokers / or less than 10 cigarettes per day
In good health
No medical history of major chronic illness
Not pregnant for females or planning to get pregnant
No food or drug allergy
Able to consume milk, chicken, prawn, nuts etc.
Have microwave at home or office
Aim of study is to access how diet intake will alter body fat composition changes. The study period is 12 weeks. This includes a screening visit (1hour) and 4 study visit to NUH in total. Each visit will last for 6 hours. Daily meals of breakfast and lunch will be provided over the 12 weeks. Food will be delivered to your house/office once a week. 7 day supply each time.
A total amount of $325 allowances will be given for completing the study. Cash payout.
If you want collect after each session , $25 cash will be given. Balance upon completion of study.
This is purely a study to help lose weight and gain some allowances. Past subjects whom join in the study has reported weight loss of at least 3-5kg. The daily provision of food is a good way to save cost and eat healthy. All food provided are approve by a dietician and are not oily or unhealthy type of food.
