appco/dreamworks advertising. need some advice!

Hi, Ive been searching for a job for few mths now..been applying for anything under the sun ..until some few days ago i got a call from dreamworks advertising. I was so elated that i could cry. Like finallyyyyy. But when i read some reviews online, i somehow sensed that its more like an mlm scam...and i had a change of heart...my interview will be this fri, so i need some advices on what this/these companies really do , and are they really a scam?

I read the company profile...basically its a sales/marketing company....to help clients gain more of their product/services brand names and awareness in the target audiences...yeah..this is below the line advertising....direct approach...different from above the line advertising like media buying for advertisements in the mass medias. They don't function like an advertising agency. In fact advertising agencies will engage this kind of sales/marketing companies to launch an advertising campaigns for their own clienteles' products/services. I see no indication of scam...just simply sales/marketing job. -
Thanks yeah, ive read the compqny profile too..but maybe theres something erong with the job ad title. It said management trainee when in fact its only direct sales ..plus qll the bad reviews from othervwebsites..i guess ill think abt it. Thanks a lot

New employee will always be called as management trainee...then after you are confirm you probably be in charge of a client account or seek new clients and build from there...then you will do your own recruitment to help you in direct advertising for your client.

If your position is design related, do your company required you to show them your work portfolio? If not, confirmed something is 'fishy'.
If it is an sales position related job, the only crap from my experience is they will let you know this job is based on commission, meaning there is no basic salary from this company, you get no client = no $$$ (Not sure about this advertisment company of your as I'm too lazy to check their salary package). And usually for any sales job, there will be an probation period where if you cannot bring client and closed sales, the company will have to 'invite' you to leave.
Finally they will check with you if you have sales experience like how you cope with 'rejection' or cold call(now I think no more due to the DNC 's regulation).

Hey thanks to those who have commented yeah its quite fishy...cos ftom what i heard from other job seekers also they are being trocked by the job ad which says 'management trainees ' needed and.they even.put a salary range there...and in the end what they realised is.that thy need to solicit funds in public and its purely based on.commision. Seems that yhei job ad is similar to what i have came across, and with all ur.comments the more i think this company is just making use of people in order for their own agenda

Ok buddy...I will recommend you a stable job right now right here openly....like in live tv show but you must be open and sincere in answering my questions.. Are you a singaporean? How old are you? You don't mind long hours but pay you good salary? -

I'm not the owner...and its definitely not a mlm. You can get this job easily provided you are willing to work hard for it and perhaps make a career out of it. You have to attend the course and complete it in 6 months...in class and on the job training. There is a bond for this job....6 months or some even 1 year...depending on which company you work for. If you breached this bond...you have to pay back the course fee. After you passed this course you will receive a certificate which is ITE certified upon 6 months ojt completion. Ok this are the details. 20 days work or 21 days work, 2 days off, 12 hours shift, $70 (some $80 a day for weekdays, Sunday and Public Holidays $70 ($80) + $40 = $110 ($120), Over Time pay, $250 for full attendance incentives and lastly quantities achievement incentives (which you will receive when you pass your class and ojt assessment within 1 to 2 months and then complete the balance of the ojt period). Are you a Singaporean...be honest ok...open only to Singaporeans and some PRs are lucky to get this job too. Some part time undergraduates are doing this job to save for their studies. -
