Creative Graphic Designer looking for a job in Singapore

  Hi my name is Andreas,

  I'm a 29 years old Graphic Designer from Indonesia with a Bachelor Degree of Arts & Design and 5 years of experience in the industry, I am currently looking for a job in Singapore.   My main expertise area is Corporate Branding Design, Promotion and Advertising Media, Photography and Digital Imaging.

  My main skills are in Adobe Photoshop, Vector Software, Adobe Flash and Currently learning Web Design in Adobe Dreamweaver, HTML, CSS application. A little bit of skills in 3D MAX application and eager to learn.

  I am a humble, honest and hardworking, responsible, firm on the time, trustworthy, eager to learn new things, uneasy to give up, able to work individually or in a team, high self-motivated, strong in communication skill, self-initiative, committed to personal and professional integrity.  Willing to start from entree level or junior position and multitask other jobs if necessary.

  I am willing to take a small post of O level or high school / Diploma degree job position such as Store keeper, Clerks or Administrative, Travel Officer, or other jobs you may need, I am willing to learn if given the opportunity.

  I am able to start immediately provided that employer will sponsor me an S pass or work permit to stay in Singapore. I already have a passport ready and have visited Singapore a numerous time recently and currently learning to adapt Singapore culture. I am not a job hopper and I am a very appreciative person of employers that willing to employs people who provides food to another people's family.

  My interest is design, photography, traveling, reading, and blogging. Eager and dreams to fill an in house designer position in graphic design & advertising industry, hospitality industry, travel & tourism industry.

  Andrea, kamu seharusnya cuba diBali dimana penduduk and PT disana International sama seperti di Singapore. Di Singapore sekarang agak sulit buat pendatang asing untuk berkerja disini.

  Iya betul Pak Zulkifli saat ini memang saya sedang usaha mencari kerja di Singapore atau Bali, :) tapi kalau boleh pilih saya tetap prefer di Singapore karena soal kemajuan mereka lebih maju daripada di Indonesia sehingga untuk mendapat pengalaman lebih baik. terima kasih atas sarannya, Pak Zulkifli sendiri saat ini di Singapore?

  Saya orang singapore tapi saya tinggal diJohor Bahru, Malaysia. Sekarang buat SPASS, permit terbatas sampai banyak pt in Singapore ngak bisa mendapatkan tenaga kerja asing. DiBali, banyak hotel pariwisata kepunyaan orang asing lagi lagi orang australi. Mungkin mas andrea mesti kirim surat dulu kepada pt pt di sini. Mungkin, kalau bisa mas andrea cuba di Malaysia juga....sana mereka juga sangat maju mungkin lebih hebat dari di Singapore.

  saya sekarang berkerja sambilan di singapore saja..yang buat mas andrea cuba diKL karena disana banyak pusat production house dan penerbitan....pasaran mereka pun lebit luas jika dibandingkan dengan pasaran singapore...lebih berpotensi mas..ini saran saya dan kamu ngak kesal nanti..

  You can also try your luck on interviewing renowned company like Lucasfilm Animation Company or Singapore Press Holding. Since you are an degree holder, you can also apply for teaching career in local poly or art school like Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts or DesignSingapore Council.

  Hi M thank you for your advice, I will try the Singapore Press Holding because I don't think I will meet the standard in Lucasfilm animation yet :) are you a designer too?

  No, I just happen to have friends who are in this field, anyway the only disadvantage I feel about arts and design in Singapore is the potential is limited as Singapore is more focus on financial sector. It is an well-known secret that  "creative" people are often treated with disdain because our society view them as a "cost", not an investment. And our government run thing by "meritocratic" system, so any "creative" works will have be "solid with credential" before they can get supoort from the government. That why for those those talent designer if they got opportunity will choose other countries for their career advance.

  Anyway, I didn't make this up, you can check the old news about Apple Steve Wozniak saying where are the great creative people, artist musicians and writers etc in Singapore and he also mention that Apple could not emerge in societies like Singapore
