  Guys I would also need to know the basic salary a fresh graduate can earn in Singapore. I am considering to join management consultancy company. Currently I'm taking human resource management as my professional major and marketing as my co-major. pls advice! Thanks!

  It depends on the company that is going to hire you. You be surprised..what I'm going to say here, I've come across numerous times many Malaysians especially those working in administrations and accounting firms, applying for their work permit, with SPM certificate though they fail because they didn't pass their Bahasa Malaysia, and those with Senior Middle Chinese High School certificate, they got paid $1500 - $1800 per month. They came down with their IPA letter and certificates for verification and registration, and it stated about their salary very clearly in their application form. So, with your Malaysian degree qualification you probably have a better bargaining power for higher salary.

  Ok you're welcome. Just to remind you that your Boss is not ICA or MOM. So if you need to go out from Singapore before your 30 days social visit visa expire while awaiting for your work permit approval, make sure you exit to JB and then reenter Singapore to renew and extend your social visit visa. If your boss say no need no need...then just say to him like this, "Boss you are not ICA or MOM. If I overstay...I'm the one that get into trouble not you." This is because if you overstay in Singapore, you will be the one who will be in trouble with ICA not your boss, because the work permit is not approve yet. I came across many cases in the past, the malaysian overstayers, said the boss say no need to exit and don't worry. Usually when asked the boss why you let these malaysians to overstay while awaiting for work permit approval...their reply usually, "I don't know leh...I told them to exit but they don't want to exit...they scare they can't enter Singapore again." So be careful don't get into trouble like that.

  One last thing. MOM is not ICA and ICA is not MOM. Anything concerning work permit listen to MOM and anything concerning immigration matters...check with ICA not MOM. Many foreigners awaiting for their work permits do not know this...they think MOM and ICA are under the same government department. Most of them ended up being overstayers and technically working illegally in Singapore.
