I was looking for a freelance job when I chanced
upon an advertisement on a Singapore job website. I was told to attend a
briefing session and during that session, there told about 30 of us
present that there are 2 positions available, namely the Guaranteed
Rental Programme (GRP) and Recruitment Coordinator.
For
the GRP, I was told that we could earn 2k-5k and that there was no cold
calling or sales involved. The people that I would contact would be
people who have contacted the agents and showed interest in renting out
flats or looking for places to rent and all I have to do is to schedule
viewings and if successful, I would receive commission.
For
the 2nd position, I would have to place online advertisements on job
website to attract jobseekers like myself to attend briefing sessions
but I was told not to use 6 words (property, agent etc) and never to
reveal the company's name. I didn't sit through the whole talk but I
guess I would get commission if the people I recruited signs up to be an
agent.
That guy that I was liasing with contacted me that night and asked me how was the session. I asked him how much did he make and he said first month about 1000. He said there were 3 positions and there is a fee lowest 300.
Are these jobs legal
