Hi All,
I was recruited to work for an IT company through an agent. My notice period is 1 month(my contract is with my agent not with the company). I decided to resign from this employment and when I told my company, they told that I can resign in 1 week and dont need 1 month notice. So I gave my resignation to the company dated with 1 week notice. When I told my agent regarding this, they are avoiding my mails and calls, purposefully, handling delaying tactics. I informed my agent regarding my resignation a week ago and still I havent got any response from them whether they are accepting it or not. I'm on the fence now as Im unable to inform my new employer about my joining date.
What can I do regarding this? Can my delay my resignation by 1 month, even after I resign from the company in 1 week?>
when u are officially recruited by the co. u are under the co. already.
it has got nothing to do with the agent anymore.
unless u signed something with the agent regarding this
Shoot the resig letter to the agent : case solved. Then joint new co. You are absolved.

Don't turn up the next day. What can agent do? You done your part by shooting resig letter.

if nothing just throw the letter and fucking go. professional should be smart enough.

If you're telling the truth, find your agent in his/her office.

There are some recruitment company, they recuit ppl to outsource to other company for jobs... meaning u are working for the recruitment company and not the other company u are being sent to...
and alot alot alot of recruitment agency works this way... so does RE...
if u sign with agency, u play via agency rules.
if u sign with company, u play via company rules.
all else fails, read the contract/offer terms and play by those rules.
dont care agent, they only use scare tatic ones.
When I was 18 I talk to the CFO, CFO say ok - Ni zou ba.
Agent say cannot. I tell agent u call the CFO ok. Then they say ok ok u go
now that i see your case, i'm scared man..
