Hi, I'm 22 years old this year. I'm planning to be an air steward for SIA and will be going for the interview soon. I'm 1.80m and 70kg. Does anyone here have friends/cousins who are steward/stewardess or already are themselves? I've researched quite alot about SIA but still feel pretty much nervous about the whole thing. Sometimes i feel like withdrawing from it. If so, would you care to share some tips and things to take note of during the interview? Thanks.
Got some friends were in this industry....
but you can check this website out.... http://bohtong.com/
good luck.
You just have to appear sociable and even tempered. They may probably give you a hard time during the interview but you have to keep your cool. Just testing how you react under stress.Don't take any beer during the tea party.
My 2 cents worth.
be careful HIV

it is a good experience with a lot of free flying perks when u r young ....also builds up your resume if u intend to pursue hospitality career or business ...u will most likely end up clubbing a lot during off days....unless u really focus on making good use of your flying time and off days on what u really want to do if one day u r grounded....
i dont know
i got bad experience with one ex air steward
me and my boss were glad when he finished his six month contract and go
its once in a lifetime perhaps....u shd try and learn the most out of it...but dun stay too long..
good luck bro...
to put it bluntly, it may be a high class waitering job from ground perspective....but if u know how to make use of opportunities ....u can use it as a platform to become successful....as with another other industry....
i heard from one of my frens that there was once an air steward with SIA who made it...climbing all the way to become a trainer and inflight supervisor....
he is now the co-founder of...
air steward? wow, you have the chance to sleep around with the stewardesses, free sex.
If you stay on long enough, you will be able to buy private property.
steward sleeps with pilot? gay !
pilots go knocking doors in the night to sleep with stewardesses, tis I heard of.
professional gender confusion lol
Thanx all for e tips. Yeah, i probably wont do stewarding as a long term career choice. Once i get to see the world, maybe in abt 3-4 years, i'll quit and do other job. Yeah, but it certainly does boost your resume. I have heard of alot of ex-crew members who find jobs easily after they quit their steward/ess jobs.
Hey but sometimes people say that steward/ess are just air slaves/ waiters. Thats kinda funny. Nevertheless, the interview is coming!!! AAAAAAaaaaa!!Exited leh.
good luck bro....and if succeed, dun club too much
haahaha. will take note of that
