Seafaring Marine Engineer

  I saw this website http://maritimecareers.com.sg/career_seafairing_captain.html

  I just want to know the process in seafaring in order to become Chief Engineer...

  is it really the starting pay is $2500? after graduating marine engineer?

  and its only 5yrs to achieve the position Chief Engineer?

   

  I have many questions to ask... I need someone who knows or already experienced seafaring engineer.

  no idea.....but for develped countries the minimum wage is around $2500 even for a 17 yr old  serving macdonalds burger to customers...so that starting salary is kinda low for an engineer.

  2500 is most likely the base, and starting pay, however do note that that amount is the very basic, and not inclusive of the offshore allowance which you will definitely get for travelling, and that is really alot alot alot. The compromise here is that you will be absolutely devoid of personal life, due to the fact you have to travel so much.

  I'm really interested about this... Seafaring Engineer including their salary ofcourse.

  they say before you become chief engineer you have to be.
  Fourth Engineer -->Third Engineer --> Second Engineer --> Cheif Engineer.
