If someday u guys become bosses, what will u do ? Similar leh...cost effective...unless garmen pay employers to hire locals, otherwise more employers will definitely hire foreigners....esp. from China.
They have this quota thing whereby you need to employ a number of singaporeans before you can employ foreigners into your company mah..

Look around and see if thats the case.
A lot of shops out there.
Boss is owner,
wife is employee of boss,
son is employee of boss,
ahma is employee of boss,
ahgong is employee of boss.
50:50 quota means they can hire 2.5 foreigners already, but how many local employees employed?
Answer: 0

I thought the university grads in sg can get an averaged salary of sg$ 2500 per months.
That 's pretty high pay in China.

2.5k second class honours at least.
normal degree 2k nia.
2k = 10,000 rmb but most prcs are asking 1.2k = 6,000 rmb here in singapore... armed with local uni cert somemore.
China people cannot survive with 1.2k salary in sg de.
Minus $500 rent, food and transport and entertainment will cost about $500 so they only left with $200 savings a month

or they can share a room for $300, take public transport for $100 and eating for $100 a month. Entertainment on weekends maybe $100 (~$25 per week)
a S$600 per month savings is more than their salary in rmb

eat $100 a month?
what they eat with that amount?
Everyday buy mee hoon and cook at home to eat is it?
Transport $100 a month? You know bus and mrt fare how much it cost anot?
1 meal at hawker centre cost $3. So if they just eat 2 means a day it will be $6 and that will be $180 a month already.
Do you even know how to calculate anot.

i spend $5 a day on transport for work
i eat at hawker centers for $3 a meal too, but for them they cook in bulk for all 7-8 tenants in the flat

You sure all foreigners stay together in a rented flat and cook in bulk mah?
I have known alot of foreigners who rent a room by themself and eat at hawker centres

not all foreigners live like that, just like not all china people earns $1.2k a month
but you shouldn't underestimate the resolve of people who can scrap, save and survive
They already snatched alot of our middle level jobs....top level got Angmo, below got Fil/Thai/Banga....I said before....tough for most of us in the middle....

Your saying that foreigners live together and cook in bulk applies more to those construction workers etc who earns less than 1.2k who lives together in a place provided free or at a cheap cost by their employer.
Majority of foreigners rent a room in hdb flats to stay and eat at hawker centres

or i could just say this statement is wrong, if you prefer

do you think his boss will hire them 1 by 1, throw them into separate apartments and eat at hawker centers?
or do you think it's more likely they'll come in bulks, gets thrown into one big unit and they cook for themselves?
It is inevitable that foreigners will be dominating our country as the birth rate is declining.

Alot of coffee shops already hiring China manpower, I dun think they're grads....
I got a fairly good job in a Japanese pharmauceutical company with my diploma from Singapore Polytechnic. I am basically left with only 1.5 years to graduate with a business degree before I start to worry in my last semester.
With the optimistic antipation that the economic will change for the better for Singaporeans first before the foreigners.

Jap companies pay the lowest leh....get your degree then jump to other companies! Germans are the best paid.
Agreed, japanese companies pay the lowest. Want to rise the ranks fast? Learn to polish apples. You will see some people don't really do muchget promoted once per 2 years, you will see some work like a slave, but promoted once per 5 years.
As for girls, they will get their promotion, usually because you're playing a crucial role, and they really really have no choice.
