70%? I dont think so, maybe lower..majority of the workforce having only gce O / A level cert.

So at least 70% of people in Sg has a degree?
I don't think so as the older workers most don't have a degree.
If you are talking about the younger generations like us, than I think its 30% who have degree and 70% belongs to diploma, ite, A level, O level qualification etc
True. I didn't check if there was any stats on assessable income vs age group.
So Eagle, you fall into this cat? Degree with salary of $3k or more per month?
Much more.
Wait ah, I monitoring GLP and CMA share price.

How are you going to survive with 2.5 - 3k a mth, especially if you have a family -_-"
Definately no. There are other ways to get more "pay" besides looking out for jobs

It's a pain but keep a expense ledger to help manage yr money. It helps prevent u from over-spending and for the luxuries set a budget and do not exceed.
Married but no kids. Right now our jobs require frequent travelling so maybe soon. We plan to have 1 some day
I used to update my saving now and then to keep in check of any overspending. I too hv set a limit for the saving...but the limit is getting lower and lower, the bar has been push down the ranks due to cost and children expenses.
It is getting harder and harder as each day goes by.

I see. Singaporeans arent earning a lot these days.. haix.. most play with stocks to make ends meet. Haix....
For us U-grads, its harder... no money to play with stocks.... just the basic salary to keep up with the 3 meals... cant even afford accomodation out there... dun even mention getting married.. no money... unless parents sponsor lor.
I don't really play. I put for a horizon of at least 5 years.
The $1k comes from dividends solely.

times have changed... these days 20s rather sleep than work.
There was a report earlier on U-grads becoming social escorts... which includes sleeping with clients.
